Ajax Soccer Clubs Join Forces!

As many of you are aware the Town of Ajax has two operating soccer clubs in our small town... Ajax FC and Ajax United Soccer Club. Ajax FC was founded in 1971 and currently has a member base of over 2000 children and adults. Ajax United was founded in 1992 by the late Henry Nelson with a member base of over 800 players.

Henry built a very respected legacy within the soccer community of Ajax and together Ajax FC & Ajax United plan on keeping that legacy alive by providing the best possible inclusive soccer program, at all levels of the game, to the players in our area. To further recognize Henry Nelson’s contribution to the community of Ajax we will be approaching the Town Council to rename the Monarch/Centennial turf facility to Henry Nelson fields.

With the ever-changing landscape of soccer in our province and nation wide it is more important than ever to utilize the resources and strengths of both clubs to work together towards improvements in all avenues of the club structure. This is including, but not limited to: match official development, sports medical, facilities and infrastructure, player exclusivity and retention, coaching development and mentor ship, mutual respect in governance of policies and procedures and most importantly the emergence of a respected, sought out and accessible club for every family and person in our community.

The vision and values of the club have only been exemplified and rewritten. The heart and soul of the club remains the same. We will work as one to the same common goals and use our strengths and resources to continue to strive for the upmost quality for our members.

We value and appreciate the ongoing support and pride in our community and in the game of soccer and with this collaboration of the two clubs we promise to continue to be leaders in the advancement of the game. We are so excited for you all to be a part of this great adventure.

For the love of the game. We thank you again.
